About the Journal

The Journal of Computational Law and Legal Technology (JCLLT) is a peer-reviewed, interdisciplinary publication dedicated to advancing the understanding and application of computational methods in legal contexts for the development of novel legal technology. The journal serves as a platform for scholars, practitioners, and technologists to explore the intersection of law, computer science, and emerging technologies.

The journal actively welcomes original research and theoretical contributions that investigate how computational techniques—such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, natural language processing, and formal logic—can be used to model, analyse, and enhance legal reasoning, legal processes, and legal systems. The journal also welcomes work on the design, implementation, and evaluation of legal technologies, including legal information systems, smart contracts, regulatory technologies (RegTech), and legal decision support tools.

The journal aims to foster dialogue across disciplines and promote innovation in the legal domain through computational approaches. We encourage submissions from law, computer science, philosophy, data science, and related fields.

JCLLT is a Gold Open Access journal, ensuring free access for online readers worldwide.

The journal is currently free to the authors, and all Article Processing Charges (APCs) are waived until 31 August 2026.
