Factors shaping the adoption intention of artificial intelligence (AI) in Bangladesh are investigated in this research paper by incorporating the TOE framework and DOI theory. The research aims to convey an in-depth understanding of institutional readiness for adopting AI by extending the TOE framework with digital literacy. A total of 197 samples were accepted as a valid response. A probability sampling technique called stratified sampling was incorporated in this paper. Additionally, a structured closed-ended questionnaire was presented to the targeted sample especially located in the head office and divisional office. The data were inspected by SmartPLS 4.0. The findings indicate that all hypotheses, except government support, significantly impact AI adoption intention in Bangladesh. To offer an enriched understanding of AI adoption, the outcomes enrich existing literature and framework by bringing human attributes and environmental elements into consideration. For the policymakers and business pioneers who are working to aid AI implementation in emerging markets, this paper provides worthy and real-world insights for them.
