Call for Papers-SI on TAAI-IoT
Special Issue on Trustworthy Agentic AI-enabled Intelligent Internet of Things for Secure and Sustainable Smart Cities
Aims and Scope
The rapid growth of urban populations and digital transformation is driving the evolution of Next-Generation Smart Cities (NGSC), which aim to create intelligent, interconnected, autonomous, and sustainable urban environments. Agentic Artificial Intelligence (AAI) and the Intelligent Internet of Things (IIoT) are key enabling technologies, empowering autonomous decision-making, intelligent automation, and real-time management of critical infrastructures such as transportation, healthcare, energy, environmental monitoring, public safety, and urban governance.
The integration of emerging technologies—including Generative AI (GAI), Large Language Models (LLMs), Digital Twins (DTs), Cognitive Digital Twins (CDTs), Blockchain, Federated Learning (FL), Edge Intelligence (EI), Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS), Quantum-Safe Security (QSS), and 6G communications—further enhances secure data sharing, decentralized trust, privacy-preserving learning, predictive analytics, and resilient communication. However, these advancements also introduce significant challenges in cybersecurity, privacy, trustworthiness, interoperability, ethical AI, and resilience against increasingly sophisticated cyber threats.
This special session provides an international forum for researchers and practitioners to present innovative theories, architectures, methodologies, and real-world applications related to Trustworthy Agentic AI-enabled Intelligent IoT for Secure and Sustainable Smart Cities. It welcomes interdisciplinary contributions on trustworthy AI, intelligent IoT, cybersecurity, blockchain, digital twins, quantum-safe technologies, and cyber-physical systems. Particular emphasis is placed on secure and privacy-preserving AI, autonomous intelligent systems, resilient urban infrastructures, advanced security frameworks, and sustainable smart city solutions that support the development of future intelligent societies.
