Biography of Executive Editor-in-Chief: Dr. Ming Guan is a director of the Department of Laboratory Medicine at Huashan Hospital, Fudan University, China. He is also the director of the Central Laboratory of Huashan Hospital. Dr. Guan obtained his Ph.D. degree in Laboratory Medicine from Fudan University in 2003. He was a post-doctoral fellow at the National Institutes of Health/National Cancer Institute, USA, from 2004 to 2006. Dr. Guan has authored or co-authored over 200 peer-reviewed academic publications. He has received 9 grants from the National Natural Science Foundation of China as principal investigator. He currently serves as Vice Chairman and Secretary-General of the Laboratory Medicine Branch of the Chinese Medical Association. He also serves as an editor of Clinica Chimica Acta. Dr. Guan is also Vice Editor-in-Chief of the Chinese Journal of Laboratory Medicine. His research interests include molecular diagnostics, cancer genetics, laboratory diagnosis of central nervous system diseases, and artificial intelligence in clinical laboratory.
