Introduction: Dr. Xinliang Tian is a professor at the School of Ocean and Civil Engineering, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China. His research focuses primarily on fluid mechanics and ocean engineering. He has developed and established a range of laboratory facilities and field experimental and measurement systems to support research and engineering applications in marine renewable energy, long-term observation in harsh marine environments, and the development of large-scale deep-sea neutrino detection and observation arrays. He has also developed wave- and wind-powered unmanned surface vehicles and explored their applications in marine environments.

He has published over 130 SCI-indexed papers and holds 60 granted invention patents. He has served as a member of the ITTC Overlap Group and as a guest editor for international academic journals.

He is a recipient of the Science and Technology Award from the Chinese Society of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics and the Ruiyuan Young Scientist Award.
