Special Issue on Big Data and Artificial Intelligence Applications in the Maritime Industry

Aims and Scope

The maritime industry plays a crucial role in facilitating global trade, but it also faces significant challenges that require innovative solutions. The integration of big data and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies has the potential to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance safety in the maritime industry. This special issue aims to present the latest research and developments in the application of big data and AI in the maritime industry.


This special issue is expected to provide a valuable platform for the dissemination of knowledge and the exchange of ideas on the integration of big data and AI in the maritime industry. The special issue will contribute to the development of new technologies and applications that can enhance the operational efficiency, safety, and sustainability of the maritime industry.

Submission Guidelines:
The special issue will invite submissions of original research articles, review papers, and case studies from researchers, practitioners, and industry experts. Submissions should follow the guidelines provided by the Artificial Intelligence and Applications journal.

Submission deadline: April 6, 2024
Submissions that pass pre-check will be reviewed by at least two reviewers of the specific field.
Free fast publication and early access will be provided to all accepted papers.
