Special Issue on the Integration of Artificial Intelligence in the Application of Metaverse (VR/AR/MR/XR) for Future Healthcare and Education

Aims and Scope

The Metaverse is a futuristic concept that combines social media, VR, and AR technologies to create a post-reality universe. With the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI), the possibilities for healthcare and education are endless. This special issue explores the integration of AI in the Metaverse of future healthcare and education, highlighting the latest developments and advancements in the field.
Section 1: AI in Healthcare Metaverse
To explore the potential of AI in the Healthcare Metaverse, including personalized medical treatments, remote patient monitoring, and immersive training for medical professionals. AI-powered simulations can provide medical professionals with immersive training, enhancing their skills and abilities.
Section 2: AI in Education Metaverse
To focus on AI in the Education Metaverse, such as personalized learning, immersive learning experiences, and adaptive assessments. AI-powered simulations can provide students with immersive learning experiences, enhancing their understanding and retention of complex concepts.
Section 3: Cybersecurity Measures, and Risk Management
The integration of AI, AR/VR/MR/XR, Metaverse, and future networks in healthcare and education introduces new cybersecurity challenges and risks that must be addressed. Topics covered include privacy concerns, bias in algorithms, the need for human oversight data security, network security, identity management, access control, and incident response. It also addresses ongoing risk assessments such as cybersickness, and user safety.
Section 4: Quality of Experience (QoE) Consideration
To address and evaluate how AI can enhance QoE for users in future healthcare and education. The section discusses factors contributing to QoE, including latency, reliability, user satisfaction, immersion & presence, and complete engagement.

This special issue will cover a range of topics related to Big Data and AI in the maritime industry. These topics may include, but are not limited to:

• The potential benefits and risks of integrating AI into the metaverse, VR/AR/XR/MR for healthcare and education.
• The role of AI in enhancing medical education and training within the metaverse, including virtual simulations and immersive learning experiences.
• The use of AI-powered virtual assistants and chatbots in healthcare settings within the metaverse, including their potential to improve patient outcomes and reduce healthcare costs.
• The QoE evaluation methods and factors for users in future healthcare and education. Dnnnnn principles and methods for AR/VR/XR/MR-based education and healthcare systems.
• The impact of AI and the metaverse on the future of healthcare and education, including their potential to transform the way we learn, teach, and receive healthcare services.
• Cybersecurity Measures, ethical consideration, and risk management for the application of AR/VR/XR/MR in Education and healthcare.
• VR Videos (360-degree videos) QoE evaluations.
• Design principals for AR/VR-based education and healthcare.


Submission Guidelines:
The special issue will invite submissions of original research articles, review papers, and case studies from researchers, practitioners, and industry experts. All submissions will be subject to a rigorous peer-review process to ensure the quality and relevance of the articles. Submissions should follow the guidelines provided by the Artificial Intelligence and Applications journal.

Manuscript Submission Information
Submission deadline: June 30th, 2024
Submissions that pass pre-check will be reviewed by at least two reviewers of the specific field.
Free fast publication and early access will be provided to all accepted papers.
