About the Journal

Journal of Climbing and Walking Robots (JCWR) is an international, peer-reviewed journal dedicated to advancing education and science for the public benefit in the field of mobile robots and associated technologies. The journal publishes high-quality research on the theory, design, development, and commercialisation of robotic systems, with a special emphasis on climbing and walking robots and associated support technologies.

The journal is a Gold Open Access journal, online readers don't have to pay any fee.

The journal is currently free to the authors, and all Article Processing Charges (APCs) are waived until December 31, 2026.
