Abstract

This study aimed to examine the impact of quality of work life (QWL) and organizational commitment (OC) on job performance (JP), using job satisfaction (JS) as a mediating variable. This study’s population was the PT Asia Pacific Fibers Kendal staff. The number of samples used in this study is 211 PT Asia Pacific Fibers Kendal employees. A questionnaire was used to collect data. The results showed that QWL and OC have a positive and significant effect on JP, while JS has no significant effect on JP. Results also show that JS does not mediate the effect of QWL and OC. Suggestions that can be given are to conduct gathering and kinship activities that can help staff help each other in completing tasks, and companies must provide appropriate responsibilities, authority, and opportunities to staff so that staff feel they have the opportunity to apply various skills that can improve the quality of their work life and OC.
