Dr. Thurmon Lockhart is a Professor of Biomedical Engineering at Arizona State University, with additional academic affiliations at Ghent University and Mayo Clinic. His research focuses on human locomotion, gait and posture, biomechanics, wearable sensors, and injury prevention, particularly in aging and neurological disorders. He has published 200+ full-length papers and five book chapters, holds a patent related to night-vision technology, and has extensive editorial experience with leading journals in biomechanics, ergonomics, biomedical engineering, and wearable technology. His research has been supported by organizations including NSF, NIH, CDC, NIOSH, and ONR, with applications spanning healthcare, occupational safety, human performance, and wearable technologies.
