Dr. Babak Safaei currently is working as Associate Professor at Department of Mechanical Engineering at Eastern Mediterranean University. Also, he has honorary position as Visiting Associate Professor at University of Johannesburg since 2021. Presently, he is director of Nanotechnology and Multifunctional Structures Research Center (NMSRC) at Eastern Mediterranean University. He received his PhD. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Department of Mechanical Engineering at Tsinghua University.
Dr. Babak Safaei was listed in the World's Top 2% Scientists in the Career-Long Impact List and in the single-year Category published by Stanford University and Elsevier in 2021 and 2022. He was awarded China's 100 Most Influential International Academic Papers Award, published by the Institute of Scientific and Technological Information of China, and Research Incentive Award from Eastern Mediterranean University in 2021.
Regarding professional memberships, Dr. Babak Safaei is the member of American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), and International Engineering and Technology Institute from 2022.
